We established an association in 1999 to bring together interested members of the community with links to Chinese culture.
We meet regularly (a minimum of once every two months) to keep in contact with others who share our culture, and to celebrate Chinese Festivals and important anniversaries and events.
We were instrumental in the re-location of the Chinese Gardens from the now defunct International village and the re-establishment the gardens in Monash Park in central Shepparton.
To provide a voice for individuals and families of Chinese descent to present our concerns to Government, the media and the general public.
To promote the positive aspects of Chinese culture to the Goulburn Valley community.
To act as a resource for newly arrived individuals and families of Chinese descent in the Goulburn Valley.
To provide regular opportunities for the local Chinese community members to meet, socialize and seek support from other members of the Association.
We encourage non-Chinese members of the community to embrace and understand Chinese culture.
We open our culture to the wider community of the Goulburn Valley, to encourage acceptance and tolerance of all races and a harmonious society in the Goulburn Valley.
